Il y a encore 60 ans, le plateau de Millevaches était chauve. En un demi-siècle, les paysages se sont transformés du tout au tout avec l'apparition d'une forêt plantée. Une transformation qui s'est faite par étapes. Récit.
Une forêt et des hommes…
Sur la montagne limousine, la forêt est devenue une ressource économique de premier plan. D'ici 10 ans le massif essentiellement résineux sera à maturité, la récolte devrait doubler. Pour se préparer, c'est toute la filière qui s'organise.
