La société Somival et sa filière Carbon Ingen’R Bugeat Viam (CIBV) projettent d’installer une usine de pellets torréfiés sur l’ancien site de la gare bois aujourd’hui désaffecté. Cette initiative industrielle d’envergure pour la région promet certes des emplois, mais ne manque pas d’interroger.
Le débat public a pourtant tardé à se mettre en place. C’est une association créée pour la circonstance, « Non à la montagne pellets », qui en a pris l’initiative. Le nom ne laisse aucun doute sur son parti pris, mais la réunion publique qu’elle a proposée à Bugeat, en cette fin de mois d’octobre, a permis un dialogue entre voix favorables et défavorables au projet.
Quel impact sur l’environnement, la forêt, la filière bois, les voisins ? Quels bénéfices pour Bugeat ? Quels emplois créés, quels emplois détruits ? Cette usine est-elle compatible avec le futur que l’on désire pour notre région ?
